Kinbright Parenting Tips & Co-Parenting: Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 October 2026

Kinbright (Parenting Tips & Co-Parenting) is made by Ecom Swift LLC. You don't need an account to use it, and there is no sign-in. We don't run a server that receives your data. Everything you enter, including details about your children, is stored on your phone and never sent to us. We don't sell personal information.

Who the app is for

Kinbright is for parents and caregivers aged 18 and over. It is not designed for children, and it is not part of Google Play's Families program. Details about your children are entered by you, the parent, and are used only inside the app on your phone.

What Kinbright stores on your phone

The following is kept in a local database in the app's private storage on your device:

Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are switched off for this data, so it is not copied to your Google account or to a new phone automatically. "Delete everything" in Settings erases all app data on the phone at any time, and uninstalling the app removes it too. We cannot recover deleted data.

Sharing with a co-parent

Sharing is manual and happens only when you decide. You can create a "share code" (text) or a QR code on your phone. It contains the shared planner items: children's names and birth dates, tasks, the schedule and one-day changes, school and appointment dates, expenses, the handover checklist and the house rules sheet. You choose how to send it, for example with your own messaging app. We never receive it. Child notes, reflections, check-ins and the family tools are never included in a code.

When your co-parent imports a code, it is merged on their phone. Anyone who holds a code can read the planner items in it, so send it only to your co-parent or carer.

Scanning a QR code

To scan a QR code, the app uses your phone's own camera app to take a photo, or a picture you pick with the system photo picker. Kinbright has no camera permission. The image is read on your phone and is not stored after reading.

Exports

PDF one-pagers, a CSV of expenses, a text file of reflections and a JSON backup file are created on your phone. They leave your phone only when you share or save them to a place or app you pick. That place or app then handles the file under its own privacy policy.

Permissions and notifications

Kinbright has no account system and no server of ours. The internet connection is used by the ad service and by Google Play purchases.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Ads appear only on parent list screens. They never appear on child-facing screens (conversation card mode and the child bedtime routine screen), on scripts for tough moments, in journals or in the parent check-in. Ad content is limited to a maximum rating of PG, and the app is not child-directed.

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) appears before ads load. You can change your choice at any time in Settings, under Ad privacy choices.

AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), your IP address, approximate location, app interactions and diagnostics, for ads, analytics and fraud prevention, under Google's policies. Details about your children and your planner, journal and check-in entries are never shared with the ad service. Read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses data from partner sites and apps at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.

With Premium or Remove Ads, the app makes no ad requests at all. A rewarded video plays only if you choose to watch one, and it unlocks one PRO item once.

Purchases

Premium (monthly or yearly subscription, or lifetime) and Remove Ads are sold through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment, and we never see your card details. The app only learns which products your Google account owns, so it can unlock them.

Data sent to Google services

The ad service and Google Play services may collect device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app interactions and diagnostics, as described in Google's policies. We do not receive this data about you as an individual. We do not sell or rent any data.

Not professional advice

Kinbright offers general information and organisation tools. It is not medical, psychological or legal advice. See the Terms of Use for details.

Children

Kinbright is not directed at children and is meant to be used by adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and we don't receive the details about your children that you enter, because they stay on your phone.

Your choices

You can delete everything with "Delete everything" in Settings, uninstall the app, change ad consent in Settings under Ad privacy choices, turn notifications off in the app or in Android settings, and choose whether to share or export anything.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
