Privacy Policy — Shopify AI Teacher

Extension by Ecom Swift LLC (Shopify Partner). Last updated: September 2026.

Shopify AI Teacher ("the extension") scans the store page you are viewing and teaches you how to improve it. We designed it to collect as little data as possible.

What the extension does on your device

• When you click Scan this store, the extension reads the current page and the store's public data (for example /products.json) in your browser to produce the audit. This analysis happens on your device.
• The AI Teacher uses Chrome's built-in on-device AI when available, or a Google Gemini API key that you optionally provide (stored only in your browser). Your questions are sent to that AI provider only when you use the chat.
• Scan history and any key you enter are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to us.

Information you choose to send us

If you ask us to help ("Fix this for me", "Get a quote", or "Get expert help"), you may submit your email, an optional WhatsApp number, and the extension will include your store URL and a short summary of the scan (score and top issues). This is sent to Ecom Swift LLC so we can contact you about improving your store. We use it only to respond to your request. We do not sell your data.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your data unless you submit it through one of the "help" actions above.
• We do not access your browsing history, saved passwords, or private/account-only pages.
• We do not bypass logins or CAPTCHAs. The audit uses only publicly available page data.
