Screen Recorder & Screenshot Privacy Policy

Screen Recorder & Screenshot is made by Ecom Swift LLC. Your recordings and screenshots are yours. Screen capture, audio capture, the facecam, trimming and the gallery all work on your device. There is no account, we do not run a server that receives your files, and we never upload, collect or share your recordings, screenshots, microphone audio or camera images.

What the app accesses, and why

• Screen capture: recording and screenshots use Android's screen capture (MediaProjection). Android asks for your permission every time you start a recording or screenshot session, and shows that capture is active while it runs. What is on your screen is turned into a video or image on your device only. Android blocks the capture of protected content (for example some streaming video, banking apps and password fields), and those areas appear black.
• Microphone: used only while you are recording, and only if you choose an audio option that includes the microphone. The sound is saved inside your video on your device.
• Internal audio: on Android 10 and newer you can record sound played by other apps that allow it. This audio is also saved only inside your video on your device.
• Camera (facecam): used only if you turn on the facecam. The front camera picture is shown in a bubble on your screen so it becomes part of your recording. Camera images are not stored or sent anywhere by the app.
• Display over other apps: optional. It lets the app show the floating recording controls and the facecam bubble over other apps. You can turn it off at any time and use the notification controls instead.
• Notifications: used to show recording controls (pause, resume, stop, screenshot) and to tell you when a file has been saved.
• Your files: recordings are saved to Movies/Screen Recorder and screenshots to Pictures/Screen Recorder on your device, so they also appear in your gallery app. The app does not ask for access to your other photos or videos. Files are shared only when you choose to, with the app you pick.

What we do NOT do

• We do not upload, back up, view or analyze your recordings, screenshots, audio or camera images.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not require an account or login.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier and similar device information to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud; this data is sent to Google encrypted in transit. In regions where consent is required, Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) asks for your choice before ads are personalized. Ads never appear while a recording or screenshot session is running. Premium turns off ads and stops ad requests. Purchases

Screen Recorder Premium is a subscription handled by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. You can cancel anytime in Google Play.

Data stored on your device

The app stores your recording preferences (such as resolution, frame rate, audio source, countdown and theme) on your device, along with your recordings and screenshots in the folders above. You can delete any recording or screenshot in the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes its preferences; recordings and screenshots you saved stay in your device's Movies and Pictures folders until you delete them.

Children

The app is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children.
