QR & Barcode Scanner — Privacy Policy

Your privacy comes first. Scanning and code generation happen entirely on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your scans, and we never upload the contents of the codes you scan or create, your camera images, your photos, or other personal data.

What the app accesses, and why

• Camera: used to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time. Camera frames are processed on your device and are not saved or transmitted by us.
• Scan from an image: when you choose to scan a picture, Android's photo picker lets you select a single image; only the image you pick is read, and only to detect a code in it. The app does not request broad access to your photo library.
• On-device barcode recognition: code detection uses Google's ML Kit barcode scanning, which runs on your device. Its model may be provided or updated through Google Play services.
• History: the scans and codes you create are stored only on your device so you can find them later. You can delete any item, or clear the whole history, at any time.

What we do NOT do

• We do not upload or back up your scans, images, or history.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not require an account or login.

Opening links and actions

When a scanned code contains a link, the app never opens it automatically — you choose whether to open it. Actions such as connecting to Wi‑Fi, adding a contact, dialing, or opening a map are handed to your device's own apps and settings; the app does not perform them silently.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use an advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. In regions where consent is required, you are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. Removing ads with Premium stops ad requests. Purchases

Premium (Remove Ads) is handled by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details.

Data we store

The app stores only small on-device data: your scan/create history and your preferences (such as your theme choice). Uninstalling the app removes them.

Children

The app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children.
