Scanner: Scan to PDF — Privacy Policy

Your documents are yours. Scanning, image processing, text recognition and PDF creation all happen on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your documents, and we never upload, collect or share your scans, the text in them, your camera images or your photos.

What the app accesses, and why

• Camera: used only when you choose to photograph documents with the in-app camera. Photos are saved inside the app on your device and are not transmitted by us.
• Smart scan: the automatic edge detection, crop, perspective correction and filters are provided by Google's ML Kit Document Scanner, which runs on your device through Google Play services. Google Play services may download the scanner component the first time you use it. Scanned pages are returned to the app on your device.
• Importing photos: Android's photo picker lets you choose specific images. Only the images you pick are read. The app does not request broad access to your photo library.
• Text recognition (OCR): uses Google ML Kit's on-device text recognition model, which is built into the app. Recognized text is stored with the document on your device so you can copy, share and search it.
• Saving and sharing: PDFs and images are saved or shared only when you choose to, to the location or app you pick (for example your Downloads folder, Photos, or a share target).

What we do NOT do

• We do not upload, back up or read your documents, images or recognized text.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not require an account or login.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier and similar device information to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud; this data is sent to Google encrypted in transit. In regions where consent is required, you are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. Premium turns off ads and stops ad requests. Purchases

Scanner Premium is a subscription handled by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. You can cancel anytime in Google Play.

Data stored on your device

The app stores your scanned pages, document names, folders, recognized text and preferences (such as theme, PDF page size and export quality) only on your device. You can delete any document or folder at any time, and uninstalling the app removes all of it.

Children

The app is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children.
