Privacy Policy — AI Sidebar Agent

Extension by Ecom Swift LLC. Last updated: October 2026.

AI Sidebar Agent ("the extension") is an in-browser AI assistant. It is built to keep your data on your device.

What happens on your device

• When you run a tool, the extension reads the text you selected or the current page's text, and can read the page's images and links, in your browser, to perform the action you asked for.
• The default model runs on your device (Chrome's built-in AI). When you use it, your text never leaves your computer.
• Your API keys, settings, and history are stored locally in your browser. They are not sent to us.

When you use a cloud model

If you choose a cloud model (for example by adding your own Google Gemini, Groq, OpenAI/ChatGPT, Anthropic/Claude, or xAI/Grok key), the text you ask the tool to process is sent directly from your browser to that provider's API using your key, so it can generate a response. That request goes to the provider you selected, not to us, and is subject to that provider's privacy policy. We never receive the text you process.

Pro subscription (optional)

Pro is optional. If you choose to unlock Pro, you can enter the email address you used at checkout so the extension can confirm your purchase. That email is sent to our license server (operated by Ecom Swift LLC on Wix) only to look up your subscription status and unlock Pro, and to re-check it periodically so you are not locked out. The email is kept on your device for that re-check. We use it solely for license verification, we do not sell or share it, and the free tools never send it. You can cancel anytime from the extension's settings.

What we do not do

• Apart from the Pro email described above, we do not collect your identity, browsing history, passwords, or autofill data.
• We do not sell or share your data. There are no ads.
• We do not read pages you have not asked the extension to act on.
