HD Screenshots & Screen Recorder ("the extension") is built to keep your data on your own device.
Screenshots and recordings you create are processed entirely on your computer and saved to your local Downloads folder. They are not uploaded to us or to any third party, except when a Pro user explicitly clicks "Save to cloud" on a recording (see "Pro cloud storage" below).
Capture history (small thumbnails of your recent captures) is stored locally in your browser only, and never leaves your device.
Settings and usage counters (for example, how many Quick Captures you have taken today) are stored locally in your browser.
When you buy Pro and are signed in on our website, the extension asks our license server (hosted on our Wix site) whether your account has an active plan, and stores your account's member ID locally so it can re-check later. The server returns only whether your plan is active. We do not sell or share this information.
If you are a Pro user and click "Save to cloud" on a finished recording, that one recording is uploaded to your own media library on our Wix site and a share link is created for you. This happens only when you click that button. Nothing is uploaded automatically, and the Free version never uploads recordings.
Screen and tab capture and downloads: to take screenshots and recordings and save them to your device.
Host access (all sites): so capture works on whatever page you are on. The extension only reads page content when you actively start a capture on that page.
The extension does not track your browsing, and does not collect or transmit the content of the pages you visit.
